Heather and Chuck held their wedding at the Kinsmen Centre in Lower Sackville, it was actually within walking distance for the two of them, an added bonus after a late night of celebrating. The ceremony was outside at the gazebo and Heather walked in with her brother, down a path through the woods, it was quite a nice setting. After the ceremony and family photos, we made our way through the park a bit and took photos of the wedding party. We were headed toward a nice looking stone bridge when we spotted another wedding party on the bridge. Since Heather had acquired a permit for the park, we decided to start a fight with the other wedding for the photo location. Alright, we didn’t start an actual fight, but we posed the wedding parties like they were going to fight. That’s certainly something I’ve never done before, but it made for a unique wedding memory, and a hilarious one at that. Since I was not involved with the other wedding party, I decided I should not post those images on here, sorry for the story and no photo evidence, you’ll have to ask Heather and Chuck to see those ones.
Heather did a lot of the work herself and made use of Pinterest to pull together a number of crafty ideas for the decor in the hall. They had a buffet style dinner, and even made that look cute with unique plates and customized utensils with a little note thanking their guests for joining them. After dinner, Heather surprised Chuck by having a song sung for him (she admitted that it was beyond her abilities to do it herself, so she had family help her out). It sounded really nice, and you could see that Chuck was touched. Before long, we had already found ourselves on the dance floor where the flower girl and ring bearer stole the show by dancing together all night, it was absolutely adorable.
Here are just a few shots from Heather and Chuck’s first day together as husband and wife:
